About The Position

The Layout Fitter measures and marks materials, cuts and shapes materials to meet specific requirements, and inspects finished installations to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This is a non-union position.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of layout fitting experience.
• Skill in using hand and power tools and machinery such as drills, saws, and grinders.
• Follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Physical strength and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy throughout installation.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 70 lbs., crouch or bend, and walk.
• Able to work in many different weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous MSHA training.
