About The Position

PES is hiring a Pipe Fitter for fabrication work at its fabrication yard in Houma, Louisiana. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed. The role involves fitting and installing piping and structural components for offshore jackets, decks, heliports, and production facilities according to blueprints, job specifications, and fitting procedures. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate safety awareness, a strong work ethic, technical skill, customer focus, open communication, and support for the company’s vision and values. Candidates must pass a written Fitter and ISO assessment and a hands-on fitter test. Requirements

Five or more years of prior fabrication experience.
Ability to interpret isometric drawings (ISOs) and P&IDs.
Ability to fabricate and install pipe supports.
Ability to verify spool dimensions.
Ability to perform system walk-downs to validate proper installation.
Ability to hydro-test and reinstate.
Ability to cut with a torch.
Experience using safe work habits.
Must pass a written Fitter and ISO assessment.
Must pass a hands-on fitter test.

Responsibilities

Lay out, position, align, and secure parts for welding and bolt-up.
Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit, and/or install piping and structural components in accordance with blueprints and job specifications using hand and power tools.
Follow fitting procedures and principles used in fabricating offshore jackets, decks, heliports, and production facilities.
Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other Safety, Health, and Environmental processes.
Conduct behavioral-based safety observations.
Fabricate and install pipe supports.
Verify spool dimensions.
Perform system walk-downs to validate proper installation.
Hydro-test and reinstate systems.
Cut with a torch and use safe work habits.
