About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services is hiring a Pipe Fitter for a contract assignment during the Brunswick Spring Outage, from February 8, 2027, to March 21, 2027. The position is performed on site at nuclear plants and reports to the site Manager. The Fitter plans, lays out, and executes jobs, and fabricates, installs, repairs, replaces, and maintains piping and a range of plant systems and equipment, including plumbing, sewers, fixtures, filters, valves, air compressors, water meters, radiant heaters, controls, pumps, vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, fire, water, and waste systems. Work includes Ultra Filters and sanitary and industrial waste treatment facilities. Candidates need five years of pipefitting craft experience, though a diploma or applicable trade or technical school education in industrial maintenance may qualify for part of the experience requirement. The role also requires experience with pumping, delivery, and discharge systems, being at least 18 years old, a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and a nuclear background. Fitness for duty includes a medical evaluation and pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Five years of pipefitting craft experience; a diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial maintenance may qualify for part of the experience requirement.
Experience with pumping, delivery, and discharge systems.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Nuclear background.
Fitness for duty, including a medical evaluation and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Plan, lay out, and execute jobs.
Fabricate, install, repair, replace, and maintain piping, plumbing, sewers, fixtures, filters, valves, air compressors, water meters, radiant heaters, controls, pumps, vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and fire, water, and waste systems throughout the plant site.
Work on Ultra Filters and sanitary waste and industrial waste treatment facilities.
