About The Position

As a Lawncare Specialist, you will provide routine lawn and landscape maintenance services as part of a crew of 2–5 employees. The role helps ensure client properties remain healthy, attractive, and well maintained. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of consistent service in maintaining long-term client relationships. The work includes routine lawn care, turf maintenance, seasonal services, planting and plant care, site cleanup, and the safe operation and basic inspection of lawn care equipment. The Specialist follows safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company policies, and works collaboratively with crew leaders, teammates, and clients. Down to Earth provides commercial landscape development, maintenance, and enhancement services across multiple regions in Florida. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–3 years of experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
Basic understanding of turf maintenance practices and equipment.
Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Holds or can obtain a Roundup permit upon hire.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial or multi-site landscape maintenance.
Knowledge of turfgrass varieties and seasonal lawn care practices.
Experience with fertilization programs or integrated pest management (IPM).
Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
Strong work ethic and pride in appearance and results.
Interest in career growth within lawn care, crew leadership, or landscape operations.
Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check.

Responsibilities

Perform routine lawn care services, including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
Maintain turf health on residential, commercial, or HOA properties.
Assist with seasonal services such as fertilization, aeration, dethatching, overseeding, and cleanups.
Identify turf issues, including weeds, pests, disease, or irrigation problems, and report findings to supervisors.
Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and spreaders.
Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas and vehicles.
Follow safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members.
Represent the company professionally on client properties.
Cut turf using a variety of landscaping tools and equipment safely.
Weed client sites by hand or using landscape equipment.
Plant, groom, and maintain plant material.
Perform site cleanup duties, including clearing and disposing of trash and organic material.
Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
