About The Position
Jax Farm & Ranch is seeking a Lawn & Garden Sales Associate for its North Fort Collins location. The associate helps customers with gardening, outdoor entertaining, flowers, and related products by offering attentive service, informative answers, and product suggestions. The role also supports efficient department operations through stocking, merchandising, inventory assistance, and maintaining a tidy sales area. Product training, pro-deals, and an employee discount help associates build product knowledge. The position is part-time, requires weekend availability, and seeks someone with open availability.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience.
- Enthusiasm and interest in gardening, landscaping, and planting.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work weekends and open availability.
Nice To Haves
- Home and garden experience and knowledge.
- Previous knowledge of or experience with brands carried by JAX.
- Cashiering experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide outstanding, professional customer service.
- Answer customer questions honestly and informatively, make product suggestions, and share product knowledge.
- Process payments accurately.
- Stock shelves, locate products for customers, and keep the department clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
- Assist with displays and visual merchandising.
- Learn about products to improve answers to customer questions.
- Safely shift and move products, including awkward or heavy items.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts.
- Communicate professionally and relay customer feedback to the manager.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Support teamwork and develop positive working relationships with co-workers.
- Assist with inventory responsibilities.
