About The Position

Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer- and/or dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment. The role may require direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman. The technician maintains professional communication with all company locations to ensure information flows appropriately. This is a safety-sensitive position in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience performing service repairs.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used to repair turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Good safety habits.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Small Engine Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic lawn and garden equipment diagnostics and determine needed repairs.
• Perform basic lawn and garden equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
• Participate in job-related training and development.
• Prepare reports and forms required for work assignments.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized and practice good safety habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain professional communication with all company locations.
