Cedar Rapids - Lawn Care Technician / Specialist
About The Position
Naturescape of Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role involves managing a route and transforming landscapes, working outdoors in a dynamic environment that changes daily. The specialist will perform precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. Adaptability is key, as the role pivots to snow removal during winter months. The company emphasizes continuous learning and development, offering paid training and opportunities for growth within the company.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated with a desire to learn
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification in categories Core and 3T (Turf Pest Control) - required for licensed specialist position, but training is provided if not initially held.

- Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding services for residential and commercial properties.
- Manage a route and transform landscapes.
- Complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control.
- Act as the face of the company in the field, serving as a consultant and problem-solver.
- Assess lawn health and landscape needs.
- Communicate clearly and kindly with clients.
- Perform snow removal and other winter work.
- Develop skills and grow with the company.

- Starting Wage: $21/hr
- Expected Average: $21/hr - $28/hr
