As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with strong communication and customer service. This is an armed, driving post where you will respond to situations with professionalism, agility, and integrity while working as part of a reliable, people-first Allied Universal team.

Requirements

2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
Valid Driver's License
Law Enforcement Officer License
22+ years of age
Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs: 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training. 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training. 3. Federal law enforcement training. 4. Programs approved by the Director.
No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
Must have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Must possess a peace officer certificate.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to restricted and controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and response actions accurately and communicate with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and/or public agency contacts regarding security-related matters.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
