Requirements

  • CPO certification is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal guidelines while using sound judgment during contacts, escorts, and incident response.
  • Assist with access control, visitor screening, and restricted area monitoring to help to deter unauthorized entry and support the orderly movement of people throughout the location.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
