Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as part of a caring team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with property management and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the building, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
  • Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately while following Allied Universal guidelines and site expectations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
