Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform vehicle and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving and armed post offers the chance to support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and processing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, or security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support access control, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting responsibilities while remaining prepared to respond to medical, fire, and other emergency situations based on post orders and location requirements.
