About The Position

This limited-term position provides paralegal and administrative management for four legal clinics and their faculty directors and students. The clinics operate as separate law firms representing local and national clients in matters before Virginia and federal courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Copyright Office, and the Virginia State Corporation Commission. The role has two components: providing paralegal support to the 38–40 student and faculty lawyers working in the clinics, and supporting the professors with academic and operational management, including class loads and office operations. The position requires strong time and priority management, effective communication to identify and anticipate the needs of directors, students, and clients, and the ability to understand multiple legal practice areas and their governing procedures and regulations. This is an in-office, Monday-through-Friday position, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., limited from the date of hire through June 30, 2027. It is full-time, non-exempt, and includes benefits.
