About The Position

Perform day-to-day housekeeping and laundry functions as assigned, following daily work assignments. Maintain resident and recreational areas, bathrooms, hallways, stairways, elevators, vacant rooms, and entrance and exit areas in a clean, safe, and comfortable condition. Housekeeping work includes cleaning and polishing furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units, windows, mirrors, floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings; removing dirt, dust, grease, and film with appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions; and disposing of waste and replacing trash liners. Keep equipment, tools, and supplies properly stored. Laundry duties include collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry as needed. Perform other duties as needed by the Director of Maintenance. Salary range: $16.00–$18.78.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping functions according to daily assignments.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and room heating and cooling units in resident and recreational areas.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures, ensuring water marks are removed.
• Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance and exit areas.
• Sweep, dust, damp- or wet-mop, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors.
• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect carpets.
• Wash, wipe, dust, spot-clean, disinfect, and deodorize walls and ceilings.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Dispose of waste and trash in proper containers and replace trash receptacle liners.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Keep areas clean and ensure equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored.
• Help maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed by the Director of Maintenance.
