About The Position

This role involves performing day-to-day housekeeping and laundry functions to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Responsibilities include cleaning various areas and fixtures, managing laundry processes, and assisting with other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

Requirements

Ability to perform day-to-day housekeeping functions.
Ability to perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
Ability to clean floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings.
Ability to manage laundry processes (collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, distributing).
Ability to discard waste and trash properly.
Ability to clean vacant rooms.
Ability to store equipment, tools, and supplies properly.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident and recreational areas.
Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures, ensuring water marks are removed.
Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
Discard waste/trash into proper containers and refill trash receptacles with plastic liners.
Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
Ensure that areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times.
Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.
Collect laundry, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute as needed.
Perform all other duties as needed by the Director of Maintenance.
