About The Position

The Laundry Attendant supports the Executive Housekeeper in meeting quality and timeliness standards and maintains a high standard of excellence in the laundry operation. The role involves processing, handling, and distributing linens; operating and maintaining laundry equipment; keeping laundry and storage areas clean and organized; and helping ensure a safe working environment. The attendant may also assist resort guests and owners, respond to guest complaints, make deliveries, and perform other site duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper. The position requires working irregular hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to make decisions.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to use long-term and short-term memory.
• Ability and willingness to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of excellence, efficiency, and quality.
• Sort clean and dirty linen and place it in designated bins.
• Pre-treat stains according to color and/or type.
• Remove damaged linens.
• Operate washers and dryers appropriately.
• Monitor and replace detergent and other cleaning agents as needed.
• Fold and distribute clean linens to proper storage or unit linen bags.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines, including lint traps and vents.
• Assist with monthly linen inventories and supplies as directed.
• Report laundry maintenance issues to the manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in laundry and storage areas.
• Help ensure a safe working environment at each site and office.
• Perform site-operation duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Distribute linens on time and complete assignments and appointments promptly.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Assist in resolving guest complaints promptly and building positive customer relations.
• Assist resort guests and owners and make guest deliveries as directed.
• Become knowledgeable about the resort.
