About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public and common areas while meeting quality and timeliness standards. The role includes custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors. The employee is expected to follow the company’s mission and values, maintain a safe working environment, and help ensure guests feel cared for.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the position’s physical functions, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, occasional ascending and descending, and repetitive motions.

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of excellence.
• Clean public and common areas.
• Clean and polish floors in public and common areas.
• Keep storage closets clean and organized.
• Accept supply deliveries as necessary.
• Report unit maintenance issues according to company procedure.
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure they are clean and free of trash.
• Report lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Move furniture as directed.
• Maintain a safe working environment while on site.
• Perform duties related to site operations as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Maintain a sense of urgency so assigned areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Be prompt with assignments and appointments.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform inventories of supplies.
• Assist in resolving guest complaints promptly.
• Build strong, positive customer relations.
