About The Position

A hotel laundry attendant manages the cleaning, sorting, folding, and distributing of linens, towels, and guest clothing to ensure high cleanliness standards. Primary duties include operating industrial washers/dryers, removing stains, folding items, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and assisting housekeeping with clean linen supply.

Requirements

• Attention to detail: Ensuring linens are laundered properly, folded neatly, and free from damage.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving soiled items from laundry bags or carts and sorting them by color, fabric type, and level of soil.
• Operating industrial-grade washers and dryers, which requires knowledge of specific wash formulas and appropriate chemical dosages for different materials.
• Inspecting items for damage or stubborn stains and applying pre-treatment chemicals before laundering.
• Folding, or steaming linens to meet hotel brand standards.
• Organizing clean items on carts and stocking linen closets or delivery areas for the housekeeping team.
• Regularly cleaning lint traps, wiping down equipment, and reporting any mechanical issues to the engineering department.
