Hotel - Laundry Attendant
About The Position
The Laundry Attendant completes daily laundry tasks promptly and according to Three Rivers Casino Resort’s standards for quality and cleanliness. Duties include handling linens from guest rooms, sorting and treating laundry, operating laundry equipment, folding, ironing and storing linens, maintaining the laundry area, and helping distribute clean linens and towels. The role also involves reporting equipment failures and completing other duties as directed by management. The position is based in Florence, Oregon. Team Members may encounter secondhand tobacco smoke, moderate to occasionally high noise, dust and cleaning-chemical fumes, hot and cold environments, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The role requires standing and/or walking for up to eight hours, frequent carrying, reaching, twisting, bending and squatting, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally with assistance as needed. Team Members are expected to provide exceptional guest service and uphold the resort’s service commitments, including “Be Kind. Always.”
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Work cooperatively with a positive attitude in a team environment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing, or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random, and reasonable-suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on departmental needs and special casino events.
- Stand and/or walk for up to eight hours.
- Frequently carry, reach, twist, bend, and squat.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Remove linens from guest rooms.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning method.
- Pre-treat stains and check items for damage before washing.
- Operate washers and dryers using recommended settings for different fabric types.
- Fold, iron, and store linens according to department procedures.
- Report laundry room equipment failures to the Team Lead.
- Keep the laundry area clean and organized, including regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
- Assist with distributing clean linens and towels to guest rooms.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Provide exceptional guest service and uphold the resort’s service commitments.
