About The Position

The Laundry Attendant joins the Westin Tempe Housekeeping Team and helps maintain a clean and comfortable environment for guests. The role is responsible for properly washing and drying laundry to meet Crescent Hotels & Resorts and Marriott quality standards, while providing friendly, courteous, timely, and professional service. The position requires AM/PM availability, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Be willing to help coworkers and work as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals, formulas, and their effects on different types of linen.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Availability for AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry laundry according to quality standards.
• Help provide a clean and comfortable environment for hotel guests.
• Interact with guests and associates courteously and professionally.
• Collaborate with coworkers and help with their duties when needed.
• Prioritize and organize work.
• Follow hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls and safe handling of heavy objects and chemicals.
• Report safety hazards and concerns.
• Adapt to changes in the work area and hotel procedures, learn new skills, and address routine problems or ask for help when needed.
