About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is part of the Westin Tempe Housekeeping Team and helps ensure laundry is washed and dried properly in accordance with Crescent and Marriott quality standards. The role supports a clean and comfortable environment for hotel guests and requires work to be performed in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to promote guest satisfaction.

Associates are expected to work collaboratively, provide courteous and respectful service to guests and colleagues, maintain professional appearance and conduct, and follow hotel procedures. They should adapt to changes, learn and improve job skills, resolve routine problems, and seek help when needed. The position also requires adherence to safety and security policies, particularly for key controls, lifting, chemical use, and reporting hazards. Other job-related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.

• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to pitch in, help coworkers, and work as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and formulas and their effects on different types of linen.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift linen bundles weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work area and hotel procedures, learn new skills or improve existing ones, solve routine problems, and ask for help when needed.

• Help provide guests with a clean and comfortable hotel environment.

• Maintain work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance in accordance with hotel standards.
