About The Position
Responsible for the efficient cleaning, processing, and storage of all hotel linens and uniforms to ensure a consistent supply that meets the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Requirements
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of laundry chemicals and their proper usage.
- Attention to detail for inspecting linens and maintaining inventory.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to respond to guest requests.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
Responsibilities
- Collects soiled linens from designated areas and sorts items by type, color, and soil level.
- Inspects all linens for damage or stains and records findings.
- Operates commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Ensures proper use and measurement of chemicals in each cycle.
- Folds, organizes, and stores clean linens appropriately.
- Operates linen feeders, sheet folders, towel folders, and ironing equipment as required.
- Assists with daily linen counts and contributes to accurate monthly inventory reports.
- Reports any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Responds to guest requests for linens or laundry services in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintains a professional appearance and upholds hotel grooming and uniform standards at all times.
