About The Position

Eisenhower Health is seeking a Laundry and Linen Attendant to join their team. This role is responsible for the timely delivery of linen to ancillary and patient care areas within the organization, as well as managing inventory received from the contract linen company. Eisenhower Health has been a leader in health care for the Coachella Valley since 1971 and continues to grow and expand its services.

Requirements

Basic Math skills necessary
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good communication skills; teamwork philosophy
Some previous housekeeping/janitorial experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
Disburses linen to ancillary and patient care areas on a daily basis.
Maintains adequate linen inventory in patient care and ancillary areas in the hospital on a daily basis.
Maintains accurate itemized inventory records and completes laundry forms.
Answers and Responds to linen calls within the hospital.
Cleans, maintains, and replenishes linen exchange carts in an orderly manner.
Unloads daily linen delivery from Contract Company carts to the linen room.
Maintains scrub pars for patient care areas on a daily basis.
Pulls reject linen from patient and ancillary care areas.
Maintain a clean linen storage area per regulatory standards.
Use material handling equipment to prevent injury to self or others.
Communicates with contract linen company driver regarding shortages or overages.
Complies with Title 22 and DHS regulations in regard to the safe handling and distribution of patient care items.
Performs other duties as assigned.
