About The Position

Health Systems Cooperative Laundries is hiring a full-time Hospital Laundry Distribution employee for its Hennepin County Medical Center team. The role handles soiled and clean linen in a hospital setting, works independently, communicates with nursing personnel, counts linens, and records on-hand inventory using tablets. Attendance is an essential function. The position is in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled production environment with a diverse, multilingual workforce. The laundry operates seven days per week; weekends are required, and nights may be required.

Requirements

• Basic ability to speak and understand English.
• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and walk or stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend into laundry carts and lift soiled and clean linens; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull full linen carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities
