About The Position

Roman Eagle Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aides for its Environmental Services team. The role helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents by ensuring timely processing and distribution of linens and personal clothing. Duties include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Ability to read and write at a basic level and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control and safety practices.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent reaching, handling, pulling, bending, and stooping.
Ability to work around hot equipment and occasionally wet floors.
Ability to lift and move laundry carts and bags consistent with the demands of the position.

Nice To Haves

Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Collect, weigh, sort, and process soiled laundry.
Operate commercial washers and dryers according to established procedures.
Treat stained items with appropriate stain-removal agents as needed.
Sort, fold, count, stack, and prepare clean laundry for distribution.
Distribute linens and resident clothing to nursing units and other departments.
Label facility linens and residents’ personal clothing as needed.
Process contaminated laundry according to established infection control procedures.
Inspect linens and clothing for damage and report repair or replacement needs.
Maintain accurate laundry records as assigned.
Clean laundry equipment and work areas daily and maintain a safe work environment.
Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
