About The Position
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Full Time Laundry Aide to work every other weekend with AM and PM shifts. This role is responsible for the collection of soiled linens, operating laundry machinery, sorting and distributing clean laundry, adhering to infection control policies, and completing assigned reports.
Requirements
- Must possess visual acuity for cleanliness.
- Work involves bending, walking, lifting and using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous health care Environmental Services/ Laundry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collection of soiled linens from specified areas
- Properly operates washer and dryer by setting appropriate machine cycles
- Sorts clean laundry, folds and distributes appropriately
- Abides by Infection Control policies and procedures
- Completes reports/check lists as assigned per DPH regulations
