About The Position

Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation is hiring a full-time Laundry Aide for the evening shift. The Laundry Aide provides laundry services for residents and the facility while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and quality standards. The role helps create a clean, comfortable environment for residents and involves following facility procedures, schedules, infection control practices, and safety protocols.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand constantly for long periods during a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility laundry.
Sort and handle linens and residents’ personal clothing properly.
Return clean laundry to the appropriate resident or department.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and follow assigned cleaning schedules.
Follow established laundry policies and procedures, including proper protocols for collecting and transporting soiled and isolation linens.
Use appropriate protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
Use laundry equipment and supplies properly and promptly report equipment or maintenance concerns.
Protect residents’ confidentiality, rights, privacy, and property.
Report and document resident or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy and procedures using the designated reporting system.
Work as part of the team to help provide a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
