About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Laundry Aide working Thursdays and Fridays from 2pm to 10:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role involves cleaning laundry according to trained procedures, delivering resident clothing and linens, labeling clothing, maintaining an inventory sheet, logging and searching for missing clothing, and keeping the work area and equipment clean.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Perform simple calculations.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Regular attendance is required.
Responsibilities
- Clean laundry according to trained procedures (sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, iron, fold).
- Deliver resident clothing and linens timely, neatly and accurately.
- Label resident clothing, fill out inventory sheet and log it.
- Log missing clothing and look for it.
- Maintain a clean area and equipment.
