About The Position

The Laundry Aide at Del Rio Nursing Rehabilitation Center helps create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. The role supports quality care and service by processing resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry, maintaining laundry equipment and department cleanliness, and following safety and infection-control practices. The Laundry Aide also provides courteous, respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry according to established standards.
Safely operate, clean, and maintain laundry equipment and automated dispensing systems.
Follow infection control practices, safety protocols, PPE requirements, and community policies and procedures.
Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately to prevent cross-contamination and maintain resident dignity.
Monitor water temperatures and use laundry chemicals safely and efficiently.
Keep the laundry department clean and organized, perform routine housekeeping, and remove lint.
Promptly report damaged linens, equipment concerns, and safety issues.
Provide courteous, respectful service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members in support of Residents' Rights.
Assist with additional duties as needed to support the team and community.
