About The Position

Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a part-time Laundry Aide for night shifts. The role is part of the environmental team and supports residents in reaching and maintaining their highest functional abilities. The Laundry Aide follows established laundry procedures, handles soiled linens safely, maintains cleaning schedules, protects residents’ privacy and property, and reports and documents incidents in accordance with facility policy.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand constantly for long periods during a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks.
Use proper protocols to pick up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transport them to the laundry department.
Use appropriate protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
Maintain cleaning schedules for each assigned area and follow laundry department schedules.
Protect the confidentiality, rights, privacy, and property of residents.
Report and document resident or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy and procedures using the designated occurrence reporting system.
