About The Position

Blue Heron Senior Living is hiring a full-time, evening-shift Laundry Aide to support residents by carrying out laundry duties and helping maintain a clean, safe environment. The role follows established laundry policies and procedures, handles soiled linens—including isolation linens—with appropriate protocols and protective equipment, and maintains cleaning schedules for assigned areas. The Laundry Aide also protects residents’ confidentiality, rights, privacy, and property, and reports and documents incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations in accordance with facility procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, and stand constantly for long periods during a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks.
• Use proper protocols to pick up and transport soiled linens, including isolation linens, to the laundry department.
• Use appropriate protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
• Maintain cleaning schedules for assigned areas and follow laundry department schedules.
• Protect the confidentiality of residents and their care, and safeguard residents’ rights, privacy, and property.
• Report and document resident or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, and allegations using the designated reporting system and facility procedures.
