About The Position

Maxcess-Valley Roller is dedicated to the development and design of rubber-covered rollers for industrial applications since 1984.

Requirements

• Ability to read and use a variety of measurement devices including dial indicator, dial turner calipers, ruler, pie tape, tape measure, micrometer, caliper, and other precise measurement devices as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret job ticket instructions correctly and roll drawings.
• Fork truck operation safety training.
• Overhead crane, slings and straps safety training.
• Proper training for lifting and operation of overhead cranes utilizing slings and straps to move rolls safely.
• Maintain personal equipment including all PPE, hearing protection and other equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes according to training and specific instruction.
• Read and use a variety of measurement devices including dial indicator, dial turner calipers, ruler, pie tape, tape measure, micrometer, caliper, and other precise measurement devices as needed.
• Read and interpret job ticket instructions correctly and roll drawings.
• Fill in where needed per supervisor direction working other jobs - interruptions.
• Operate a fork truck safely following training.
• Use overhead crane, slings and straps safely per training to lift, shift or move rolls.
• Responsible for various odd jobs around the facility as assigned by supervisor.
• Install and remove any special fixtures, expanding mandrels, plugs, and other tools as required.
• Use proper training for lifting and operation of overhead cranes utilizing slings and straps to move rolls safely.
• Notify supervisor with supplies needs for department (stripping tools, etc.)
• Maintain personal equipment including all PPE, hearing protection and other equipment as required.
