About The Position

This role requires a skilled individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation. The ideal candidate will be familiar with HAAS Mills and Lathes, as well as vertical lathes. Key attributes include strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or collaboratively, and excellent problem-solving skills for quick and efficient troubleshooting. Experience with precision measuring tools and techniques is essential. The job involves programming and operating CNC lathes for both production runs and prototyping, studying and interpreting drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. The role also requires the ability to read blueprints and specifications, including geometric tolerance and dimensions, and to communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other personnel to resolve machining or quality issues. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes for production runs and prototyping.
  • Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Read blueprints and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
