About The Position

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation, with familiarity in HAAS Mills and Lathes, as well as vertical lathes. The role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent problem-solving skills for quick and efficient troubleshooting. Candidates must have experience with precision measuring tools and techniques. The job involves programming and operating CNC lathes for both production runs and prototyping. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements. The individual must be able to read blueprints and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions, and communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, production control, and other shop personnel to resolve machining or quality issues. Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be a citizen of the United States

Responsibilities

  • Programming and the operation of CNC lathes for PRODUCTION runs and PROTOTYPING
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
