About The Position

The CNC Lathe Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC controlled machines according to WSP production standards. This role involves optimizing existing processes to meet or exceed production expectations, making necessary adjustments to set-up and tool wear offsets, and performing preventative maintenance and quality inspections.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of CNC basic operation experience (on the job experience - minimum of 1 year 5axis experience required)
• Workable understanding of basic machining knowledge (turning, drilling, milling, grinding, knurling, etc.)
• Workable understand of gage/measurement knowledge (micrometer, comparator, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to stand on feet 100% of the while twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, & pushing.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Make necessary adjustments to set-up, tool wear offsets, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality inspections accordingly.
