Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions using common sense.
• Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Previous laser experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change laser parameters to accommodate different material sizes and shapes.
• Change internal components to run round and structural shapes.
• Work with the fiber laser, sensor, optics, and other laser parts.
• Center and focus the laser beam.
• Create and load multiple jobs together to use material efficiently.
• Troubleshoot error codes and loader issues.
• Understand the BLM laser and terminology used to operate it.
• Follow daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
• Follow general safety rules around and on the entire machine.
• Maintain the inside and outside of the laser.
• Use an overhead crane.
• Monitor inventory and material use using organizational skills.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
