About The Position

The Laser Operator sets up and operates Trumpf and/or Mazak CNC laser cutting machines in a fast-paced job shop environment. The role involves performing changeovers, inspecting parts, troubleshooting cutting issues, and producing high-quality precision components. This is a direct-hire, fully onsite opportunity in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of CNC laser cutting experience.
• Experience with Trumpf and/or Mazak laser machines.
• Ability to perform setups, changeovers, and parameter adjustments.
• Blueprint reading and quality inspection experience.
• Experience troubleshooting cutting issues.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of laser cutting processes and basic machine maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with TruLaser, OPTIPLEX, or fiber laser equipment.
• Experience with TruTops, CAD/CAM, or nesting software.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge.
• Experience with GD&T, ISO 9001, AS9100, or JobBOSS.
• Experience cutting stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
