About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of laser cutting machines in a manufacturing facility. The role involves preparing and operating equipment, handling materials, recording job activity in Epicor ERP, and supporting production throughput. Work may involve making changes by hand or operating machinery, receiving parts on a conveyor belt, completing an assigned portion of the job, and passing materials to the next worker.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience with power and hand tools.
Basic math and communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 pounds frequently.
Ability to squat or kneel, bend or stoop, twist or turn, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8–10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures on laser machines.
Use basic blueprint knowledge and read shop drawings.
Log into and out of jobs using Epicor ERP.
Regulate and set up equipment.
Load programs and tools as authorized.
Load and unload machines.
Stage raw materials at each work center for the day's production.
Maintain daily dust collector service and the associated logbook in the assigned area, and report equipment deficiencies.
Assist with loading and unloading team members' machines when additional manpower is needed to maintain throughput.
Perform minor maintenance and clean cutting equipment and the work area according to company standards and manufacturers' recommendations.
