About The Position

Allegiant Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to set up and operate laser cutting equipment in its manufacturing environment in Kansas City, Kansas. The role involves interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings, inspecting parts to ensure they meet specifications, and adjusting machines to maintain production quality. The operator will use Mastercam programming software, follow safety procedures and manufacturing best practices, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

This is a second-shift position on a regularly scheduled four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are generally off, depending on customer needs. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and move throughout a 10-hour shift, and work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Experience operating laser cutting machines.
• Experience with or knowledge of Mastercam programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Dependable work ethic and strong safety mindset.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience or training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and move throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
