Large Loss Property Desk Adjuster -PST/MST -Remote -Sr. Con. II
About The Position
National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Large Loss Property Desk Adjuster - Senior Consultant II to investigate and confirm facts of loss for homeowners claims. The role determines coverage and damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within the limits of authority. The adjuster works independently and prioritizes their own responsibilities. The position is designated for MST/PST hours and is remote. This role handles homeowners first-party claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation, exercising discretion and independence at an increased level of authority. It applies specialized experience or rotation into areas such as coverage, investigation, litigation, large loss, water mitigation, or desk review. The adjuster partners with fraud or subrogation representatives when needed, recognizes residential construction and repair considerations, and identifies customer needs. The role requires a broad understanding of company and industry insurance policies and organizational relationships. This job has no supervisory duties. Compensation is listed as $41.49–$50.77 for Inside Desk Adjuster Sr Cons II (Non-Exempt), with possible incentive pay if applicable. Eligible applicants may qualify for a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus, subject to stated conditions. Remote employees receive a technology setup and monthly connectivity reimbursement, and must maintain a dedicated private workspace with reliable internet meeting the stated minimum speeds.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience is preferred.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas.
- Applicants who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment.
- Applicants for an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender it when instructed by the licensing team.
- Remote employees must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet of at least 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

- Applicable active insurance licenses may qualify for a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus. Previously employed Allstate family-company candidates are ineligible for this bonus.
Responsibilities

- Partner with assigned fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome on applicable claims.
- Recognize key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
- Identify customer needs and work to meet them using appropriate customer service skills.
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it.
- Work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
