The Public Affairs division, specifically the Language Access Unit, is responsible for ensuring that meaningful language access is provided to NYC voters and candidates through translation, interpretation, and leading the agency’s language access implementation strategy. This role will report to the Director of Language Access and will manage the development and implementation of language access strategies across all CFB public-facing programs, ensuring compliance with legal mandates such as the Voting Rights Act, Local Law 30, and Local Law 48. The position is crucial for advancing the CFB’s goals of increasing participation in the public matching funds program and making information accessible to New Yorkers who speak languages other than English.
