About The Position
Spartanburg Housing is hiring a full-time Landscaper / Groundskeeper to supervise landscape installation and modification projects, direct its Prison Inmate Program, and oversee groundskeeping inmates. The role also coordinates work order assignments with maintenance and performs routine landscaping and groundskeeping duties. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Spartanburg Housing provides affordable housing options and programs intended to promote self-sufficiency for area residents. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of trade experience in landscaping work.
- At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience.
- A combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the position requirements may be considered.
- Valid South Carolina driver's license.
- Must be insurable under Spartanburg Housing's automobile insurance plan.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and modification of new and existing landscape project sites.
- Direct the Prison Inmate Program and oversee and supervise groundskeeping inmates.
- Coordinate work order assignments with maintenance.
- Perform landscaping duties, including pruning bushes, raking leaves, cutting grass, mulching properties, and removing trash.
- Determine required equipment, materials, and maintenance.
- Inspect and accept delivered materials, supplies, and equipment.
