LANDSCAPER/GROUNDS WORKER
About The Position
Summit Point Motorsports Park and Training Facility is seeking a Landscaper / Grounds Worker to assist their Facilities Maintenance team in the upkeep and beautification of their 786-acre facility. This role involves operating landscaping equipment and performing various groundskeeping tasks to ensure the property is safe, functional, and visually appealing. The position is physically demanding and requires reliability, safety consciousness, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a part-time, seasonal position running from March to November, with approximately 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Must have experience with mowing, trimming, and weed eating.
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance and safe operation of landscaping machinery.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety and quality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Lawn mowers may be used after sufficient training and demonstrated proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding.
- Plant, water, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal and environmental needs.
- Sweep, rake, and remove debris from walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including weed eaters, trimmers, mowers, leaf blowers, and other hand tools.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides safely and according to regulations and company protocols.
- Assist in the construction of landscape features, such as retaining walls, pathways, and flower beds.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of landscaping storage areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Facilities Maintenance team and the overall operation of the Summit Point facility.
