About The Position

The Moorings at Lewes is seeking a Grounds Worker to join our team! The Moorings at Lewes is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Lewes, DE. We are seeking full-time Grounds Worker to join our team. At Springpoint, our Grounds Employees are here to assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and maintain a quality landscape and maintenance regime that will assure residents and patients a clean, comfortable, aesthetically stimulating, and safe environment.

Requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

Provide all levels of care for plant material, including but not limited to planting, transplanting, grading, edging, mulching, spraying, weeding and watering.
Replace dead, dying, diseased plant material with new plantings as specified.
Make judgments concerning selection and grading of soil to assure proper plant vitality.
Assist with preventative and curative maintenance of machinery including but not limited to oil changes, filter changes, greasing, tire repair and replacement, part procurement and installation, blade sharpening and cleaning.
Maintain flexible working hours to accomplish job duties.
May carry radio and respond to off-hours emergency calls including reporting for duty during non-regular work hours to assist in snow removal, ice treatment, etc.
