About The Position

Apex Companies is hiring a Landscape Foreman to support maintenance of stormwater infrastructure on commercial properties. The role plans, directs, and schedules landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs for retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets. The foreman leads a crew of 2–4 members and performs outdoor landscaping, ground maintenance, light construction, and maintenance repairs. The position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and involves traveling from the shop in a company truck to local and regional client sites. Regional travel is typically about 10 days per month, Monday through Friday, with lodging and a $55 per diem on travel days. The schedule is full-time, 40–55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

2–4 or more years of experience with manual labor; outdoor experience is preferred.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally; approximately 10 days of travel per month is typical.
Must be at least 21 years old due to DOT interstate transportation requirements.
Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure, including retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets.
Lead a crew of 2–4 crew members and communicate and enforce safety regulations.
Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties.
Operate landscaping and light construction equipment and maintain the equipment trailer.
Prepare reports and document field work using Apex proprietary systems.
Travel from the shop location in a company truck to local and regional client sites.
