About The Position

Apex Companies is hiring a Landscape Foreman to support maintenance of stormwater infrastructure on commercial properties. The role plans, directs, and schedules landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs for stormwater assets, and leads a crew of 2–4 members. Work includes mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, grounds maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs. The foreman operates landscaping and light construction equipment, maintains the equipment trailer, and documents field work using Apex systems. Travel from the shop to local and regional client sites is required, typically 10 days per month, Monday through Friday; lodging and a $55 per diem are provided on travel days. The position is full-time, scheduled for 40–55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must be at least 21 due to DOT interstate transportation requirements and must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable transportation. Candidates must pass pre-employment background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening checks. The work requires performing physical tasks and working in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements

2–4+ years of experience with manual labor; outdoor experience is preferred.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally is required; travel is typically 10 days per month, Monday through Friday.
Must be at least 21 years old due to DOT interstate transportation requirements.
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation required.
Must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure, including retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets.
Lead a crew of 2–4 crew members, communicating and enforcing safety regulations.
Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties.
Operate landscaping and light construction equipment and maintain the equipment trailer.
Prepare reports and document field work using Apex proprietary systems.
Travel from the shop location by company truck to local and regional client sites.
