About The Position

The Land Material Coordinator supports inventory management and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety standards and facilitating material handling and distribution. The role includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials; coordinating inspections; and maintaining accurate inventory and transfer records. The coordinator must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and be able to operate a forklift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
5–7 years of experience.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective local, state, or national security operations to protect people, data, property, and institutions.
Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification to operate at a customer facility.

Responsibilities

Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer.
Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Verify inventory computations against physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and adjust errors.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Keep records on the use or damage of stock and stock-handling equipment.
Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.
Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage-yard workers.
Determine appropriate storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.
Coordinate with QA/QC when material inspection or document review is needed.
Coordinate transportation of materials to other locations as needed, maintain transfer records, and maintain the trucking log.
Operate a forklift and become certified to operate one at a customer facility.
