About The Position

Permian Resources is seeking a Land Tech reporting to the Land Lead in Midland, Texas. The position works with the Land and Business Development departments on deal evaluation and transactions, contributing technical and communication skills as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role supports Asset Land and Business Development teams throughout deal evaluation, transaction management, and onboarding of new assets. It manages technical-level deal responsibilities from initiation through onboarding, organizes virtual data room materials and updates during evaluation, and works with Business Development land staff to create applicable exhibits and schedules. Additional work includes land and surface-right-of-way transfers on inbound assets, data integration with other Permian Resources departments, and consent tracking and diligence organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of oil and gas practices and policies, with the ability to apply that knowledge to the work.
• Experience working with land systems and applications such as Quorum, Drilling Info, DocVue, and ExecuteAFE.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated integrity in work product and dealings with coworkers.
• Strong attention to detail and flexibility regarding workload and priorities.
• Basic research skills, including reviewing multiple data sources to find specific information.

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of oil and gas experience.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Asset Land and Business Development teams on deal evaluation, transactions, and onboarding of new assets.
• Manage technical-level responsibilities on deals from start through onboarding.
• Manage and organize virtual data room (VDR) data and date updates during the evaluation process.
• Work closely with Business Development land staff to create applicable exhibits and schedules.
• Manage SLO/BLM transfers on inbound assets.
• Manage surface ROW transfers on inbound assets.
• Integrate data from Business Development into other Permian Resources departments.
• Track consents and organize diligence.
• Handle miscellaneous items associated with deal evaluation and transaction management.
