Requirements

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
Must possess or be able to obtain a MA DOT physical card.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Pesticide Applicator's License from the State of Massachusetts.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Massachusetts Hoisting and Hydraulics License.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs tasks involving physical labor to implement ecological restoration and shoreline stabilization projects.
Operates a variety of hand and power tools and small equipment.
Cleans and prepares sites, digs trenches, installs plants, and removes and disposes of vegetation.
Removes approved trees, shrubs, vines and other vegetation from project sites.
Mixes and applies herbicides (with an applicator’s license) to approved vegetation.
Seeds and plants grasses, forbs, shrubs and trees.
Operates vehicles and equipment, such as passenger vehicles, brush mowers, chain saws or skid steers.
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day.
Maintains equipment and tools used.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls materials.
Maintains restored sites multiple years after installation through mowing, weeding, pruning, and targeting herbicide applications.
Maintains confidentiality and compliance with all safety rules, regulations and standards as well as all CLM policies and procedures.
