About The Position
VHB’s Winooski, Vermont office is seeking a Land Development Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will work on civil engineering projects and develop technical skills and experience with computational software. The role involves contributing to engineering calculations, design plans, contract documents, estimates, and construction documents while coordinating with VHB staff, clients, and consultants.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to independently perform multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with coworkers.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, with a strong capability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Interact effectively with VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Contribute to preliminary and final design plans.
- Prepare contract documents, including specifications.
- Prepare engineer’s estimates.
- Prepare construction documents.
