About The Position

Mia Aesthetics is a provider of plastic surgery services. The Labs and Clearance Coordinator clears patients through a standard, defined process to help ensure they can safely undergo surgery. The role assists patients in evaluating appropriate surgical procedures, reviews medical and health histories to determine pre-admission testing, schedules medical and cardiac clearances, and arranges follow-up appointments and tests. The coordinator works with clinical staff to gather patient information, codes information from physicians about procedures performed, and assesses whether further testing or additional clearances are needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Internal and external customer service orientation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High school degree minimum.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in evaluating appropriate surgical procedure(s).
• Review patients’ medical and health histories to determine pre-admission testing.
• Schedule appropriate medical and cardiac clearances.
• Schedule patients for follow-up appointments and tests.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to gather information for all patients.
• Code information from physicians about procedures performed.
• Assess whether further testing or additional clearances are needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
